General Scholarship

Annual educational scholarship awarded to qualifying high school seniors in MLEA service territory. Scholarships can be used at any accredited college, trade school, apprenticeship, or vocational technical school.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a high school senior
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Must have taken the ACT or similar standardized test
• Applicant, their parents, or legal guardians must be members of Moon Lake Electric Association

Award

• Amount: Thousands of dollars awarded annually (specific per-award amount not stated)
• Use: Any career field

Selection Criteria

Candidates evaluated by scholarship committee based on merit and financial need. Personal interviews may be scheduled if necessary.

1. High school transcript showing at least 3.0 GPA and ACT score
2. Passport-style photograph
3. Three personal letters of recommendation from:
   • School officials, OR
   • Community/church leaders, OR
   • Other non-family references
