Overview

General Operating Support (GOS) Grant This grant application is open to nonprofit organizations or municipal governments whose mission is primarily the arts or a public museum. The purpose of the GOS Grant is to invest in arts organizations and museums based in and serving Utah residents. GOS Grants fund museums, arts organizations, and local arts agencies. This is a two-year grant. A two year grant can be re-evaluated and adjusted by the UA&M Board if deemed necessary. Funds may be used to supplement general operating revenue. Funding Organizations may choose to apply through either the full or simplified application. Deciding which application to use is based on budget and expected grant award amount. The simplified application is primarily for organizations with budgets of $20,000 or less, or organizations with budgets over $20,000 that historically receive modest grant awards ($6,000). Organizations with annual revenue of less than $5,000 are not eligible for GOS and can contact the Grants Team to learn about other options. Organization Revenue - $9 million and above Requested Amount - Not to exceed 3% of revenue or grant award of $375,000Organization Revenue - $500,000 to $9 millionRequested Amount - Not to exceed 8% of revenue or grant award of $175,000Organization Revenue - $150,000 to $500,000Requested Amount - Not to exceed 16% of revenue or grant award of $50,000Organization Revenue - $20,000 to $150,000Requested Amount - Not to exceed 35% of revenue or grant award of $30,000Organization Revenue - $5,000 to $20,000Requested Amount - Organizations with annual revenue below $20,000 must use the simplified grant application to apply.
