General Grants Program

Purpose: Support nonprofit organizations to fund direct healthcare services, wellness programs, health research, health education, and public/private partnerships formed to improve the health of residents in the EMCHF community.

Geographic Focus: Stanislaus and Merced counties, specifically 19 designated zip codes (95301, 95316, 95334, 95380, 95303, 95322, 95358, 95381, 95307, 95324, 95360, 95382, 95313, 95326, 95363, 95388, 95315, 95328, 95374)

Eligibility

• Recipient Type: Nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organizations
• Tax Status: Must have 501(c)(3) status under the Internal Revenue Service Code (IRC)
• Programs Funded: Direct healthcare services, wellness programs, health research, health education, and public/private partnerships

What EMCHF Cannot Fund

• Requests that benefit an individual
• Political causes, candidates, or campaigns

Grant Administration

• EMCHF provides both funding and technical support
• Uses Foundant online grants management system for accessibility and timely communication

How to Apply

1. Access the System: Use EMCHF's Foundant online grants management system
2. Create/Manage Account: Control organizational contact information through the portal
3. Complete Application: Draft, save, and submit applications online
4. Upload Materials: Upload documents and reports through the system
5. Submit: Submit completed application through the online portal
