Garden Chapel Donor Advised Grant

The Garden Chapel Donor Advised Grant, managed by the Pella Community Foundation, aims to support the grieving community in Pella, Iowa, by funding innovative programs that enhance local quality of life. Grants will be awarded to nonprofit organizations that provide bereavement services and other charitable initiatives, ensuring that funds are used effectively to serve the community's needs. Purpose for Grantmaking
The Foundation makes grants to support creative and innovative programs, current or emerging charitable opportunities, services not presently offered and occasional capital projects – all of which should enhance the quality of life in the community.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply, you must demonstrate all of the following characteristics:A nonprofit, legally tax-exempt organization.Located in and/or serving primarily clients in Pella, Iowa and the surrounding area.Serving a charitable purpose by enhancing the quality of life of the Pella area by providing bereavement services, hospice and end of life services.

Ineligibility

Grants are not made in support of annual operating budgets or of projects normally included therein.Requests will generally be denied for current budget support, elimination of deficits, reduction of debt or funding of completed projects.Grant funds cannot be used for any political or lobbying activity or for any purpose other than one specified in section 170(c)(2)(b) of the Code.
