Type: Giving Circle for community-minded individuals and couples

Description: The Future Fund is designed for community-minded people who want to impact Central Texas through collective giving. Members are referred to as "Up-and-Comers" and are believed to be the future of Central Texas—future business leaders, elected officials, and philanthropists.

Geographic Scope: Central Texas

Membership Structure:

Individual or couple contribution: $600

- $500 goes into the fund for distribution to charities at year-end
- $100 goes to the foundation for administrative purposes

Meeting frequency: Quarterly

How It Works:

Members meet quarterly to learn about funding opportunities aligned with the Future Fund mission

Members collectively determine where to invest pooled resources

Focus areas: eliminating barriers to education and providing support for children and families

Philosophy: When donors give together, they can make a greater difference than giving alone. It's an effective introduction to the power and personal reward of philanthropy and helps educate donors on issues affecting their community's future.

2024: $22,500 to The Sandbox at Madeline's Place; $30,000 to Catalyst Collective; $45,000 to Backpack Friends; $52,500 to Foster Angels of Central Texas

2023: $13,000 to Learning Bridge; $13,000 to Dog Alliance; $17,000 to Sam's Adventure Camp; $20,000 to Jail to Jobs

2022: $8,000 to Seton Williamson Foundation; $14,500 to Ladders for Leaders; $14,500 to Simple Sparrow Farm; $16,000 to Wonders and Worries
