Overview

The Southeast Coastal Ocean Observing Regional Association (SECOORA) invites proposals for research projects that address identified environmental concerns within the Southeast US region through collection of additional observations.

Geographic Scope: Southeast US region

Focus Areas - Environmental Concerns:

Harmful algal blooms
Sound in the marine environment
Coral health

Project Requirements:

Address one or more of the three environmental concerns listed above
Address a key gap in scientific understanding, technology, or data
Observations may be physical, bio-optical, chemical, or acoustic
Intent to integrate with SECOORA's observational, modeling, and/or data management sub-systems
Must significantly involve stakeholders for the environmental concern being addressed
Projects are 12-month duration
