Application Process
1. Attend July ESIP Meeting
- Register for the annual July in-person ESIP Meeting
- Typically held in different US locations (past meetings in Burlington VT, Asheville NC, etc.)
2. Thursday Evening - Poster Creation Session
- Attend the Thursday night social gathering at a local eatery/venue
- Bring your team and creative ideas
- Use provided materials (markers, poster paper, glue, etc.) to create your pitch poster
- Poster should be hand-drawn/creative (not PowerPoint slides)
- Informal, social atmosphere for brainstorming and designing
3. Friday Morning - Presentation & Voting
- Arrive by 8:00 AM for Friday morning competition
- Present your poster with a 2-minute pitch to audience
- Pitch should be engaging, clear, and persuasive
- Audience votes for favorites using paper ballots
- Voting occurs in two categories:
- Teachers & Students
- Regular Attendees
- Poster: Hand-drawn, creative poster (marker art, drawings, sketches, glued elements)
- Pitch: 2-minute oral presentation
- Project description: Clear explanation of idea, plan, and expected outcomes
