Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry: Undergraduate Humanities Honors Fellowship Grant

The Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry at Emory University offers Undergraduate Humanities Honors Fellowships to support students pursuing honors projects in Humanities or Humanistic Social Science. With a focus on interdisciplinary engagement, these fellowships provide mentorship and a platform for students to present their work. The initiative aims to deepen undergraduates' understanding of the Humanities while fostering a vibrant intellectual community. Applicants are encouraged to align their projects with the annual theme of Democracy: Past, Present, Future.

The FCHI is dedicated to providing occasions and spaces for encouraging intellectual community and scholarship across disciplines.
In addition to offering broad general support to those engaged in humanistic research across the University, the FCHI runs an annual residential Fellows program to support immersive, long form humanistic scholarship. Fellows enjoy an academic year of research and scholarship, intellectual engagement and programs focused on the annual theme. The Fox Center is a hub for the development of novel methodologies, digital scholarship and publishing, and innovative interdisciplinary approaches to humanistic work and public engagement.
Undergraduate Humanities Honors Fellowships
The Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry will award up to twelve Undergraduate Fellowships to support students completing honors projects in a Humanities or Humanistic Social Science field. The goal of these Fellowships is to support undergraduates as they complete their theses, introduce them to the life of the Humanities, and provide a venue for interdisciplinary interchange, mentorship, and conference-style presentation.
The Fox Center's Undergraduate Humanities Honors Fellowship is a selective program for Emory undergraduates who are undertaking honors research of the highest quality in humanistic and artistic disciplines. Each year we select a number of fellows whose projects engage our annual theme to join our interdisciplinary community of scholars and benefit from mentorship, research funding, and training in research skills.
