The Founders Fund is a discretionary endowment established through the Hand Up Campaign. It is designed to:
• Support the Faribault Foundation
• Provide grants into the community

Funding Source

• Contributions from Founders Society members
• Members have made thoughtful contributions to sustain the Foundation's mission

Award Details

• First inaugural grant: $10,000 to Community Café (July 2025)
• Discretionary grants awarded by Faribault Foundation Board of Directors
• Grants made in accordance with foundation granting and spending policies

Focus Areas

• Community organizations serving the Faribault region
• Organizations with demonstrated impact and community benefit
• Example awardee: Community Café (ministry serving 250-300 people weekly with free meals since 2009)

Founders Society Membership

Members receive:
• Perpetual recognition for their foresight and generous contributions
• Opportunity to direct funding toward community needs
• Support of foundation mission to strengthen the Faribault region
