Eligibility

For global grants, Non-Profit organizations need to qualify as tax exempt non governmental charity in the countries they operate in.Program/project grant requests within our areas of interest are accepted. We prioritize funding requests that promote self-sustainability in your organization and/or community.The global grant is for anywhere in the world outside of the US.Organizations that have offices/operate from within the US but still focus all their efforts internationally are acceptable.However, the foundation does not provide grants for US-based non-profits that assist U.S. areas outside McLean County. The typical range of a Global Grant is $5,000-$10,000. Grants up to $15,000 are possible, but they are an exception to the rule.

Ineligibility

Individuals, non-qualified international charitable organizations, US based charitable organizations that don’t have a 501 C 3 status or for-profit businesses.FBT does not typically provide grants for the following purposes. Requests to fund the following purposes are likely to be denied: Hospice or old age home programs,Churches,Religious, charter or magnet schoolsIndividuals for any purpose,Political lobbying activities or other political purposes,Voter registration,Private foundations,Dinners, balls, or other ticketed events,Purposes outside of the foundation's funding priorities as listed in the prior section.FBT is unable to fund organizations that promote or proselytize any religion, even if the project for which you are requesting funding does not promote religion.
