Foothills Gateway Grant

Foothills Gateway, Inc. is now accepting grant applications for the 2024-25 Fiscal Year to enhance services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Larimer County. Funding of up to $50,000 is available for projects that improve community integration, provide behavioral health services, and support educational independence. Organizations are encouraged to apply for capital projects exceeding this limit, as each request will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Foothills Gateway, Inc. (FGI) is now accepting grant applications for the 2025-26 Fiscal Year (7/1/2025-6/30/2026). The grant program at FGI is intended to utilize funds to create or expand programs and services for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) living in Larimer County.
Interested community organizations/provider agencies can request information and an application from Foothills Gateway’s Development and Communications Director or complete the webform located on the website.
Funding categories for consideration are:
Social, Vocational/Employment, and Recreational Opportunities – Increase access for individuals to support community integration and recreational opportunities;Behavioral and Mental Health Services – Provision of behavioral health services beyond waiver or Medicaid State Plan defined services;Educational and Independence – Providing educational opportunities with the goal of increasing independence;Medical and Dental Needs – Options for medical and/or dental services that are not currently available under the Medicaid State Plan or through a Medicaid Waiver program;Training and Support for Families and Others –Training and support for caregivers, family members, and the general public on issues related to people with IDD;System Gaps – Projects or services that are focused on bridging gaps or unmet needs within the IDD system, as well as, between the IDD system and other systems. Services funded through this category would be above and beyond what is available through Medicaid/Medicaid waiver program or state funds; and,Capital Projects – Improvement or creation of spaces which would primarily be used to provide services to individuals with IDD
Funding
The maximum amount that can be allocated for an approved project ranges up to $50,000 per 12-month period, with the possibility of awards larger than $50,000 for capital projects. Applicants are encouraged to submit requests for capital projects even if grant request is in excess of the $50,000 maximum. These requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and awards made if funding allows.
