Overview

The Food Education Grant Opportunity, launched by the NYCPS Office of Energy & Sustainability, provides up to $11,000 to all schools for initiating or enhancing Food Education programs. This initiative aims to empower diverse communities, promote climate literacy, and create equitable learning environments. Priority will be given to schools with high Economic Need Index scores and students in temporary housing, ensuring that all students have access to quality food education and fostering sustainable practices in schools.

As a part of the Chancellor’s efforts to expand Food Education opportunities across schools, the DOE is launching the Food Education Grant Program.
