Florida Sports Foundation Event Grant Program

Geographic Scope: All regions of the state of Florida

Program Overview:
The Foundation's Grant program operates through its Sports Industry Partnership program and was established in 1996 to assist communities and host organizations in attracting sports events to the state of Florida. The Foundation's Board of Directors awards grants on a quarterly basis.

Funding Focus

The Foundation places emphasis on:

• Out-of-state economic impact
• Return on investment
• Community support
• Image value to the state

Eligible Event Types

• Amateur events
• Collegiate events
• Professional all-star games and championships
• Other categories approved by the Foundation's Board of Directors

How to Apply

Event holders must work with an approved Industry Partner in the area where they desire to hold their event. Industry Partners submit the application on behalf of the event holder.

Application Process

1. Locate an Approved Industry Partner in your desired event location through the Foundation's directory
2. Contact the Industry Partner directly - they will submit the application on your event's behalf
3. Provide required documentation to your Industry Partner:
   • Grant Application (new application format available)
   • Proof of Insurance
4. Submit application through the Industry Partner to FSF
5. Post-Event Reporting - Required after event completion
