Florence Nesh Charitable Trust Grant

The Florence Nesh Charitable Trust Grant focuses on supporting medical or scientific research and education in the Greater Washington DC area. Eligible applicants must have a minimum of three years of operation and prior measurable outcomes. The trust prioritizes sustainability and diversified income, while avoiding support for general operating costs, for-profit entities, and organizations lacking public charity status.

Florence Nesh Charitable Trust has a geographic focus of the Greater Washington DC area and it supports proposals with a focus on medical or scientific research and education.
Our Committee supports projects and programs that:

• Support year-round programming
• Provide direct services to individuals and reflect the core social mission of the organization
• Address a need in the community for which there is a demonstrated demand
• Have broad impact or benefit underserved populations
• Have measurable outcomes, a plan for documenting results, and long-term sustainability
• Have diversified income streams and demonstrate effective financial accountability
• Involve collaboration with other organizations

Complement rather than duplicate the work of other non-profit organizationsAre submitted from organizations that have 3 years of operation in full service to others. Also, the program or project for which you are applying needs to have at least one (1) complete year with a report showing the measurable impact available prior to applying
