Fire Suppression Incentive Program

Downtown Frederick Partnership's Fire Suppression Incentive Program provides grants for the installation of new sprinkler systems in eligible historic properties, with a 50:50 match requirement.

Award Details:

• Maximum grant: $25,000
• Match requirement: 50:50 match required (applicant must provide equal funding)
• Processing: First-come, first served basis
• Geographic scope: Frederick Town Historic District, Downtown Frederick, Maryland

Eligibility Requirements:

• Existing commercial, multi-family residential, or mixed-use building
• Located in Frederick Town Historic District
• Building must be greater than 50 years old
• Seeking installation of a new sprinkler system
• Building less than 10,000 square feet to be sprinklered in accordance with City requirements and appropriate NFPA sprinkler standard
