Based on the findings of ICUF's 2023 Economic Realities of Communities of Color report, a multi-year commitment was made to address barriers to financial well-being across Iowa. Over half of Iowan households (55%) whose median family income is between $0-$23,070 are paying more than 50% of their income on housing costs. Nearly one-third of Iowans are renters.
