Financial Grants

Overview: The Sailing Foundation of Barnegat Bay provides financial grants to individuals and organizations in the Barnegat Bay area that seek funding for activities and programs that fulfill the Foundation's mission.

Geographic Scope

• Barnegat Bay area, New Jersey

Eligible Activities

Grants may be requested for:
• Activities and programs that further the Foundation's mission of promoting sailing
• Projects related to sailing education and promotion
• Events (must be submitted at least 30 days prior to event start)
• Reimbursement for projects completed or services received a few months before application submission

Eligibility

• Individuals and organizations in the Barnegat Bay area
• No limit on the number of times an individual or organization can seek or be awarded a grant

Award Amount

• Typically $100 - $5,000, depending on circumstances
• Foundation reserves the right to provide only part of the funding sought

Review Timeline

• Board of Directors meets typically six times per year
• Requests may be considered and grants awarded more frequently at Foundation's discretion
• Requestors will be notified in writing in a timely fashion of the Foundation's decision

Post-Award Requirements

• Recipients must provide full accounting of how funds were spent within a few weeks of receiving grant
• Failure to account for funds may disqualify recipient from subsequent grants
