FIN Community Showcase Pitch Competition

Geographic Scope: Indiana

Eligibility:

  • FLL, FTC, and FRC teams

  • All teams eligible (no requirement to have competed in Innovation Challenge)

  • Teams of up to 3 students

    • Award Details:

  • 1st Prize: $1,500

  • 2nd Prize: $1,000

  • 3rd Prize: $500

  • Prize money is unrestricted and sent by check to teams

    • Focus Areas: Innovation, entrepreneurship, business planning

    Key Information:

  • Teams submit one-page business plan executive summary and short video

  • Video is explanatory only, not part of judging

  • Judging sessions held via Zoom

  • 5-minute "Shark Tank" style pitch followed by 5-minute Q&A

  • Money can be used for registration, equipment, starting new teams, or other purposes

    Application Process

    1. Submission Requirements:
    - One-page business plan executive summary
    - Short explanatory video (not part of judging)

    2. Submission Method:

    3. Judging Process:
    - Teams assigned judging sessions on Zoom
    - 5-minute "Shark Tank" style pitch presentation
    - 5-minute Q&A with judges
    - Judges convene to select top 3 teams

    4. Timeline:
    - Submission deadline: May 4th, 5PM Eastern
    - Judging sessions: May 12th via Zoom
    - Winner announcement: May 13th
