Federal Pell Grants are the foundation of federal student financial aid and are generally awarded only to undergraduate students who have not yet earned a bachelor's or graduate degree. Grants are considered "need-based" aid.

3. If eligible for a Pell Grant, funds will be awarded automatically based on FAFSA results

Note on Changes

Beginning Summer 2018, you can receive Pell Grant money for summer classes if you are enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) and taking classes that count in your program of study.
