Overview

FCEF Super Grants

Purpose: Large, innovative grants intended to take the school system to the next level in a certain area and complement PTA/PTSA teacher grants.

Geographic Scope: Falls Church City Public Schools (FCCPS), Virginia

Award Amount: Up to $10,000 or more for "super-worthy" requests

Funding Focus: Projects that are:

  • For which funding is not available or is limited

  • Innovative or initiatives needing "seed" money to develop, or new equipment

  • Proven as valuable/worthwhile to the educational experience

  • A priority for the school system or for the students who will benefit from them

  • Benefit a large number of students, or a small number of at-risk/special population of students intensely

  • Provide direct educational benefit, readiness to learn benefit, or enhanced teaching approaches (may include staff development and training)

  • Will not become obsolete with pending school renovations

  • Preference given to projects with ongoing benefits
  • Eligibility: FCCPS staff members at all five schools
