Overview
FBC Scholarship Fund
Funder: Richmond's First Baptist Church Endowment Fund Inc.
Geographic Scope: Church members and their families
Purpose: Provides financial assistance for post-secondary education to church members and their children.
Eligibility
- Applicant Status: Church members (minimum 2 years), Watchcare associates, or active minors whose parent(s) or guardian(s) are FBC members
- Special situations will be reviewed by committee
- Education Level: Must be in first post-high school educational experience
- Degree Types: Associate, bachelor, bachelor/master degrees, or certificates
- Seminary: Special consideration for accredited seminary students pursuing initial graduate degree
- Renewal: Students must apply annually; funds available for up to 4 years

- Funds come from gifts and donations to the First Baptist Church Endowment Fund designated for educational scholarships
- Committee meets each spring to determine funding allocations
- Encourages consideration of ministerial vocations through dedicated seminary scholarships
