Fellowships provide the necessary resources to support and encourage the development of young scientists who benefit from the mentorship of prominent researchers.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a postdoctoral fellowship position at an institution/university at the time of award submission
- Must maintain postdoctoral fellowship position throughout the proposed awarded period
Award Structure: Up to two years of funding
Funding Amount:
- Up to $50,000 per year
- Covers salary, fringe benefits, and consumable costs
- Total: up to $100,000 for two-year award
Geographic Scope: International
Focus Areas:
- Development of young scientists in Angelman syndrome research
- Mentorship by prominent researchers
- Building representation in departments around the world currently lacking AS research representation
Career Development: The hope is that fellows will later assume professorial roles in departments around the world, which currently have no representation in Angelman syndrome research, further advancing FAST's mission.
