Overview

Emergency funding program to help farmers and ranchers experiencing natural disasters or economic crises, such as floods, freezes, and damage from high winds. This is a rolling application program with rapid response timelines.

Geographic Scope

Eligible Counties:
• Collin
• Grayson
• Fannin
• Denton
• Hunt
• Cooke

Award Information

• Maximum Award: $10,000 per application
• Funding Timeline: Approved applicants can expect to receive funding within one week of board approval

Key Qualifiers for Approval

• Location: Must be located in one of the six eligible counties (Collin, Grayson, Fannin, Denton, Hunt, or Cooke)
• Disaster Type: Must be a natural disaster OR economic crisis defined as circumstances outside of your control that threaten your ability to stay in business
• Site Visit: Approval requires a site visit within 72 hours of application submission
• Documentation: Quotes for repair costs must be gathered and submitted

Application and Review Process

1. Reach out to the foundation 2. Foundation conducts onsite inspection within 24-48 hours of request to assess damage 3. Quotes gathered and submitted for repair costs 4. Board reviews all materials 5. Decision made and funds distributed within one week if approved
