About Community Foundation of South Alabama Since its inception, the Community Foundation has grown to over 500 funds and awarded over $98 million in grants and scholarships throughout the eight counties of southwest Alabama, improving the lives of many residents in our corner of the world. We amplify the gifts from generous donors through wise investment, support others in efforts to enhance our community, and lead and collaborate on initiatives which have a broad impact. Fairhope/Point Clear Community Foundation A small group of local leaders came together in January 2018 to form the Fairhope/Point Clear Community Foundation as an affiliate of The Community Foundation of South Alabama. Fairhope/Point Clear Community Foundation Grant Since 2018, the Fairhope/Point Clear Community Foundation has awarded over $113,000 to organizations serving the local community. These organizations have created projects and programs that tackle specific areas including Health, Education and Human Services. The Fairhope/Point Clear Advisory Committee, with years of experience and a wealth of knowledge on local needs, determined that funding will support the following prioritiy areas: Arts, Community Development, Education, Environment/Beautification, Health, Human Services, Recreation, Technology, or Youth.
