About Community Foundation of South Alabama
Since its inception, the Community Foundation has grown to over 500 funds and awarded over $98 million in grants and scholarships throughout the eight counties of southwest Alabama, improving the lives of many residents in our corner of the world.
A small group of local leaders came together in January 2018 to form the Fairhope/Point Clear Community Foundation as an affiliate of The Community Foundation of South Alabama.
Since 2018, the Fairhope/Point Clear Community Foundation has awarded over $113,000 to organizations serving the local community. These organizations have created projects and programs that tackle specific areas including Health, Education and Human Services. The Fairhope/Point Clear Advisory Committee, with years of experience and a wealth of knowledge on local needs, determined that funding will support the following prioritiy areas: Arts, Community Development, Education, Environment/Beautification, Health, Human Services, Recreation, Technology, or Youth.
