About Us Established in 1991, the Hamilton Education Foundation (HEF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supplementing the educational opportunities of Hamilton School District students and teachers. Individuals, businesses, and organizations have been the cornerstone of this generous support, granting HEF over $2.5 million for workshops, projects, grants, and recognitions. These aid the development of the community, inspire creativity, and incentivize students to strive for excellence. Our Vision The vision of the Hamilton Education Foundation is to assist in achieving creative and academic excellence for the 21st Century through funding activities and projects for students and educators in the Hamilton School District. Our Mission Our mission, in partnership with the community, is to fund, Enhanced, Extended, and Enriched learning opportunities for students and educators in the Hamilton School District. Excel, New Horizons, Arts, Technology, Educator Enrichment (AKA STEPS) and Ventures New Horizons NEW HORIZONS GRANTS up to $750 are available for unique, innovative classroom projects that enrich teaching and learning activities that benefit students. This is an opportunity to develop ideas for classroom enrichment not usually possible within the normal school budget restrictions. Excel EXCEL GRANTS from $751 and up are available to fund Cultural or Educational projects and equipment and/or resource costs for the classroom that are not possible within the normal school budget. Grants will be approved for innovative, creative, or unique projects that enrich or supplement teaching efforts and learning activities in the curriculum that directly benefit students. Technology TECHNOLOGY GRANTS from $751 and up are available to fund technology projects and/or equipment for the classroom or a course of study. These grants offer an opportunity to develop and implement projects not usually possible within the normal school budget. Grants will be approved for creative and innovative proposals in which technology will enrich or supplement teaching efforts and learning activities that directly benefit students. Grants for the Arts GRANTS FOR THE ARTS (formerly Performance in the HFAC & Grants for the Arts) from $751 and up are available for enrichment programs for the Arts. These may include fine arts, performing arts, artists outside the school district, and community-based events. Educator Enrichment EDUCATOR ENRICHMENT GRANTS (formerly STEPS) is a program for teachers interested in attending off-campus seminars, workshops, conferences, or externships. (It does not include continuing professional education by enrolling in an institution or academic program.) Grants are up to $1,500, and a maximum of three grants per teacher per year.Eligibility
