Overview

The Everett Lindsay Paleomammaolgy Award was created to fund field or laboratory research into the evolution of mammals, broadly construed. The award may support investigation of mammalian fossils themselves or the deposits in which they occur. It may include novel approaches in anatomy, function, chronology, paleoenvironments and paleoecology, and modeling. The study – geological, biological, or behavioral – should be related to the evolution of mammals, which was always at the center of the research interests of Professor Everett H. Lindsay. The objective is to support graduate student research to the extent funds allow, with the only requirements being a relevance to mammalian evolution and creativity of the recipient.
