Eligibility: Researchers with a demonstrated interest and history of achievement in MPN research

Focus: Basic or translational research projects with potential to contribute to:

• New understanding of MPNs
• New molecular targets
• New treatments for myeloproliferative neoplasms

Geographic Scope: International researchers eligible

Background: These grants are aimed at accomplished MPN researchers. The Foundation has awarded over $18 million across 90+ research projects. Research strategy is designed to fund the highest quality research and catalyze areas of science not being stimulated by other funding sources.

Review Process:

• Competitive, peer-reviewed evaluation
• Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) review
• Grant scoring guidelines based on NIH criteria
• Written and in-person review meetings
• Extended reviewer panels may be used

• Scientific quality and potential for impact on MPN understanding and treatment
• Potential for catalyzing new scientific directions
• Potential for transformative effects on patient care
• Strategic use of funding for maximum benefit
