Equestrian Grant Program

Funder: Tryon Riding & Hunt Club Inc (TRHC)

TRHC supports local equestrians with grants to cover higher-level, specific training and showing pursuits. The program is dedicated to providing community support as it develops equestrian sport and ensures sustained professional expertise in the equestrian industry.

    Award Details

  • Amount: Up to $3,500 per award
  • Award Distribution: Grants are made directly to the organization, school, trade college, or institution—not to the applicant
  • Out-of-Pocket Expenses: In the event of qualifying out-of-pocket expenses, they must be approved by TR&HC and accompanied by paid receipts for reimbursement

    Eligibility

  • Age: 18 years and above
  • Geographic Area: Tryon area (specific geographic eligibility areas defined in application)
  • Career Focus: Those pursuing a career in the equestrian or related industry
  • Program Type: Certifications or licenses through professional, trade, or technical programs that allow work in areas related to equestrian sport
  • Ineligible: Board Members and those employed by the Club are NOT eligible to apply

  • Show Official Licensure

    Program Notes

  • This program is distinct from the Club's scholarship program for college degree seekers
  • The program recognizes multiple career pathways in equestrian sport
  • Award amounts depend on the number of successful applicants
