Overview: Micro-grants designed to provide emergency relief to US-based equine rescue and rehabilitation organizations facing unplanned and/or unexpected circumstances. Brooke USA partnered with the Equus Foundation to establish this program to support equine charities during difficult fundraising periods and increased animal intake.

Grants support three specific areas:- Find homes for at-risk equines and equines in transition
- Provide a haven for aged equines
- Increase opportunities for equines to engage, inspire and empower people
- Have attained the EQUUS Foundation Guardian designation
Eligibility Criteria
Only US-based equine charities are eligible. Organizations must:- Award Amount: Micro-grants ranging between $500 and $1,000
- Total Annual Funding: $10,000 available in 2023 (though Brooke USA reserves the right to increase funds)
- Award Basis: Grants provided on a rolling basis and are available on a first come, first serve basis
- Funding Source: Grants are limited to the yearly donation made by Brooke USA to the EQUUS Foundation
- Selection Process: Selections made by a committee of EQUUS Foundation and Brooke USA representatives

Reporting Requirements

How to Apply
1. Ensure Eligibility: Confirm your organization has attained EQUUS Foundation Guardian designation
2. Access the Online Application: Log into your organization's EQUUS Foundation profile
3. Select Grant Program: Select "BROOKE USA BRIDGE GRANTS" from available options
4. Complete Online Application: Fill out the online application form addressing:
- How funds will be used
- Specific need (veterinary care, dental care, and/or farrier care)
- Emergency circumstances requiring support
