Entergy’s Open Grants Program - Mississippi

Entergy’s Open Grants Program in Mississippi aims to enhance community well-being through support for arts, education, poverty solutions, and health initiatives. Funding is not available for utility payments, political activities, or religious organizations. Preference is given to projects serving Entergy's customer areas, ensuring community-focused impact.

The amount and nature of an organization’s request will determine which type of grant the organization would need to apply for.

Eligibility

Grants from Entergy will only be made to the following types of organizations:a public charity or private foundation that qualifies as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entitya school, hospital, governmental unit or religious institution that holds nonprofit status similar to that of 501(c)(3) organizationsa state or local government, but only if a donation thereto is made exclusively for public purposesa war-veterans organization that qualifies as a 501(c)(19) tax-exempt entitya volunteer fire department that qualifies as a 501(c)(4) tax-exempt entity

Ineligibility

Entergy will NOT fund:Groups without 501(c)(3) or similar nonprofit statusPayment of utility billsPolitical candidates or groupsPurchase of uniforms, equipment, or trips for school-related organizations or amateur sports teamsActivities whose sole purpose is promotion or support of a specific religion, denomination, or religious institutionGrants to individuals or loans of any typeAny organization owned or operated by an employee of Entergy
