Overview
The Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin Enrichment Grant Program provides financial support to help offset the cost of items or services that can benefit the quality of life and development of a person with Down syndrome. Grants should be specific to individuals with Down syndrome.- Therapies

- Adaptive technology
- Educational programs
- Other services and items that benefit individuals with Down syndrome
Eligible Grant Uses
Geographic Scope
Wisconsin only — limited to individuals and families in Wisconsin who have a loved one with Down syndrome- Maximum per person per calendar year: $500
- Maximum per individual grant: $250
- First $250: Available January through June
- Second $250: Available July through December
- Unlimited grant requests allowed until $250 limit is reached for the current 6-month period
Funding Amounts
- Individual or family member of a person with Down syndrome
- Must reside in Wisconsin
- Can receive up to $500 per calendar year per person with Down syndrome
Eligibility
- First time users of the fund
- Demonstrated financial need
- No other resources available to meet the need
- Request will directly benefit the development of an individual with Down syndrome or other related disability
Selection Preference
When funds are limited, preference is given to requests meeting these criteria:- Standard process: Applicant pays for item/service, submits receipts, receives reimbursement check
- Direct payment: In some cases (established vendor relationships or demonstrated financial need), DSAW may pay vendor directly; must be approved in advance
