Energizing Entrepreneurs Program

Award Amount: Up to $5,000 total in four separate increments

    Application Process

    Steps to Apply:

    1. Contact BCDA to set up an initial meeting
    - BCDA staff will walk you through the process
    - Discuss other programs that may benefit you

    2. Phase 1: Business Planning
    - Draft a business and financial plan
    - Choose your business structure
    - Conduct market research on intended products/services
    - BCDA can assist in transitioning vision into a solid plan

    3. Phase 2: Financing and Implementation
    - Work with your local bank to determine financing
    - Fill out the BCDA Energizing Entrepreneurs Application
    - BCDA assists with:
    - Determining loan programs and gap financing options
    - Securing a business location
    - Developing marketing and advertising plan

    4. Phase 3: Build Support System
    - Connect with local business owners
    - Engage with community members
    - Participate in Boone County Emerging Leaders networking opportunities
    - Utilize local resources
