Supports local law enforcement in rural jurisdictions to prevent, respond to, and reduce violent crime. Grants can support various aspects of policing including improving investigations, implementing violent crime reduction strategies, and enhancing collaboration between local stakeholders. Successful approaches might use technological enhancements, personnel, tactics, training, or equipment to reduce violent crime; use data analytics to prevent incidents before they occur; or use other approaches.
