Organization: Texas State Association of Fire Fighters (TSAFF)
Overview: The Texas State Fire Fighters Emergency Relief and College Scholarship Fund, Inc. provides financial assistance to eligible firefighters and their families during challenging times and hardship situations.
- Assistance Amount: Emergency relief is provided in $500 increments
- Maximum Benefit: Up to $1,000 for any single hardship or event - Initial $500 award available - Additional $500 available if needed
Award Details
- Initial $500: Must be requested within 90 days of the event causing the hardship
- Additional $500: If needed, must be requested within 90 days of receiving the initial $500
Timeline
- Must be an eligible firefighter or survivor of an eligible firefighter
- Must experience a qualifying hardship situation
- Must submit a complete application within the specified timeframe
- The Fund's Board of Directors makes all eligibility determinations (final decisions)
