Overview: The Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) is a federal grant created to supplement and expand the work of local social service agencies to help people with economic emergencies.

    Application Process

    1. Monitor for EFSP Phase 42 announcement (TBD)
    2. Complete EFSP application in e-CImpact portal once phase is announced
    3. Submit application through online portal

    Requirements:

  • Organization must be nonprofit or governmental

  • Currently providing services to hungry and homeless people

  • Use of funds must align with EFSP purposes: food, shelter, rent, mortgage, and/or utility assistance
  • Application Portal: e-CImpact

  • New online application platform for agency partners

  • Getting started guide available
  • Note: Specific deadlines and detailed application requirements are pending Phase 42 announcement.
