Entertainment Community Fund Mission: The Entertainment Community Fund fosters stability and resiliency, and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan. We provide human services nationally for people who work in film, theater, television, music, opera, radio and dance. We’re here for everyone on stage, camera and behind the scenes to support a life in the arts. Since our founding in 1882, we’ve helped address the specific needs of entertainment professionals—with a unique understanding of the challenges involved with a life in the arts, and with the knowledge of what it takes to thrive in an often unpredictable industry. Emergency Assistance Funds Emergency Financial Assistance is available to eligible performing arts and entertainment professionals: In times of unexpected critical needTo assist towards basic living expenses such as health care, housing and utilities to prevent eviction or shut-offs We take into consideration: If you can cover your expenses for the next few months, you may not be eligible at this time.Please access all personal and community resources prior to applying. If you are able to work, we expect that you are making all efforts to secure work, both within and outside of the industry.

Eligibility and documentation: Documentation of professional performing arts and entertainment earnings within theater, film, television, music, radio and dance for the most recent six consecutive years (2019–2024) andAt least three separate years must document an annual income of a minimum of $10,000.For those 60 years and older, documented 20 years of performing arts income, with a minimum of 10 years of at least $5,000 in annual earnings.For dancers whose primary earnings are from freelance dance, documented income for the most recent six consecutive years and annual earnings of at least $5,000 for three separate years out of the most recent six years.
