Elks National Foundation Scholarship Contest

Overview: The Connecticut Elks Association administers the Elks National Foundation (ENF) Scholarship Contest for high school students.

Geographic Scope: Connecticut

Award Categories:

  • Most Valuable Student Scholarship Awards: $1,000 minimum per year for four years, with top male and female students nationally receiving $15,000 per year for four years

  • Legacy Awards: For children or grandchildren of living Elks

  • Special Awards: In memory of distinguished Elks who have passed

  • Connecticut-specific awards: Including Francis Joyce Award ($1,500), Thaddeus Pawloski Award ($500), Frank Sotor Award ($500), and State PER Association Award ($500)

  • Additional recipients: $1,500 towards college tuition
  • Focus Areas: Educational advancement for high school students

    Eligibility: High school students in Connecticut; Legacy Award applicants must be children or grandchildren of living Elks members

    Application Process: Administered through individual Connecticut lodges
