El Sol Foundation Scholarship

Purpose: Support first-generation students from El Sol Science and Arts Academy in pursuing higher education.

Geographic Scope: Santa Ana, CA area

Eligibility Requirements:

Graduated from El Sol Science and Arts Academy

Currently graduating from high school

Entering 1st year of a bachelor's degree program

Qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch program at public/charter high school OR meet comparable family income requirements if enrolled at private school

Focus Areas: First-generation college students, low-income Latino students, many who are immigrants or children of immigrants

Organization Background:

El Sol Science & Arts Academy is a publicly chartered dual immersion school in Santa Ana

Serves over 1,000 mostly low-income, Latino students

Ranked as top dual immersion school in urban areas and among top 15 urban schools nationally

Students attend colleges including Yale, University of Pennsylvania, NYU, UC Berkeley, Stanford, UCI Davis, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UC Merced, and CSUF
