Educators Credit Union Scholarship

Overview: Educators Credit Union awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors to help fund their higher education dreams. The credit union has awarded $350,000 in scholarships over the last 5 years.

Award Details:

  • Amount: $2,000 per scholarship

  • Number of Awards: 35 high school seniors selected in 2025
  • Geographic Scope:
    Students must be enrolled in high schools located in the following Wisconsin counties:

  • Dane, Green, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Rock, Walworth, Washington, or Waukesha County
  • Core Values Focus:
    Scholarships are awarded based on demonstration of one or more of Educators' core values:

  • Honesty

  • Integrity

  • Fairness

  • Respect

  • Excellence
  • Eligibility Requirements

    To be eligible for the Educators Scholarship, students must meet ALL of the following criteria:

    • Be the primary owner of an active Prime Share Savings account at Educators Credit Union for a minimum of one year as of the application deadline
    • Be enrolled in a high school in one of the qualifying Wisconsin counties (Dane, Green, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Rock, Walworth, Washington, or Waukesha)
    • Be eligible for graduation at the end of the 2025-2026 school year (graduating high school senior in good standing)
    • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the end of the first semester of senior year
    • Plan to attend an accredited college or technical school for the entire 2026-2027 academic year
    • Write an essay demonstrating one or more of Educators' core values

    Special Provisions

    Home-Based, Correspondence, or Virtual School Students:
    Students participating in home-based educational programs, privately operated correspondence schools, or virtual schools must:

  • Reside in one of the qualifying counties

  • Provide proof of enrollment with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (form PI-1206) for the 2025-2026 school year

  • Provide ACT or SAT scores

  • Provide records relating to curriculum and academic progress
  • Selection Criteria:
    Awards are based on:

  • Academic record

  • Participation in school and community activities

  • Demonstration of one or more Educators core values
