Educational Grant

Purpose: SIDP is committed to supporting educational initiatives that align with the mission, vision, and core values of SIDP. The organization offers funding for individuals or non-profit organizations to apply for support of educational programs.

Geographic Scope: Not specified; appears open to all applicants

Focus Areas:

  • Public education

  • Novel training mechanisms for healthcare professionals

  • Educational content related to infectious diseases pharmacy and antimicrobial stewardship

  • Programs encouraging multidisciplinary team development

  • Pharmacist involvement in design and/or target audience is encouraged
  • Key Details:

  • Programs that generate educational content made free and publicly available will be scored favorably

  • Not intended to fund: Stewardship research projects with individual hospitals/healthcare systems or any other form of research

  • Maximum funding: $2,500 per individual budget request

  • Project must be completable within 1-year timeline

  • Awards given on an annual basis

    Submission Timeline:

  • Proposals reviewed by Board as received
  • Required Materials (1,000 words maximum):

    1. SIDP Member Identification: Name and identification of the SIDP member on the application

    2. Project Description: Description of the project or event and how it relates to SIDP's mission, vision, and core values

    3. Deliverables: Description of expected project deliverables (be specific), including attestation that the content will be made free and publicly available via SIDP's website or another channel

    4. Audience & Dissemination Plan: Description of expected audience and dissemination plan (how will people engage with or participate in the education)

    5. Budget & Justification: Detailed budget and justification for the requested funds (maximum $2,500)

    6. Timeline Confirmation: Confirmation the project can be completed in a 1-year timeline
