Edge of Appalachia – Adams County Fund Grant The Edge of Appalachia – Adams County Fund is an annual funding stream that supports Adams County residents and organizations to ensure that Adams County is a place where children can thrive, businesses can flourish and visitors have a memorable experience. The Edge of Appalachia – Adams County Fund invests in projects serving Adams County, Ohio, that address one or more of these three focus areas: People and Nature – The fund supports projects primarily focused on protecting the environment, generating renewable energy, and providing educational programs that emphasize hands-on learning and reflection.Reducing Disparities – The fund supports programs that improve food security, educational achievement, or medical care for groups disproportionately disadvantaged because of their race, income level, gender, religion, sexual orientation, mental health, veteran status, or physical and developmental disability. FUNDING AVAILABILITY A total of $100,000 is available in funding for the 2024 grant cycle. Grant awards will be made up to $25,000.

Adams County organizations and organizations serving Adams County residents and communities are eligible to apply.

Ineligibility

The following project expenses are ineligible for grant funding through this opportunity:Projects related to promoting or developing fossil fuels or other non-renewable resources; Gap funding, or the covering of budget shortfalls; Advocacy-related activities for specific candidates or issues; Projects for which government funding already exists; Overhead costs, such as rent or utilities; Administrative/salary requests and other operational funding.
