Economics for Leaders (EFL) Programs

Program Type: High school summer leadership and economics education program

Geographic Scope: United States - week-long programs hosted at 15+ prestigious university campuses including Yale, Cornell, Duke, Brown, University of Chicago, and others

Target Audience:

• High school sophomores and juniors
• Outstanding students interested in leadership and economics

Program Description:
Week-long intensive programs designed to:

• Enhance leadership skills
• Develop understanding of "economic way of thinking"
• Apply economic reasoning to national and international policy issues
• Build decision-making and leadership capabilities

Program Features:

• Led by economics professors and leadership instructors
• Morning discussions and interactive sessions on economic concepts
• Afternoon sessions building leadership skills
• Creative decision-making challenges
• Hands-on learning through games and simulations
• College credit available
• Competitive admission (approximately 2 applicants per available space)

Timing: Week-long programs offered in June, July, and August
