Summary

The Eco-Grants program, managed by the Tri-City Ecology Center, supports local environmental initiatives in Fremont, Newark, and Union City. Established in 1971, TCEC allocates approximately $600 annually for Youth Eco-Grants and Environmental Education/Project Grants. These grants typically range from $200 to $300 per project, encouraging sustainable practices and community involvement. Eligible applicants include residents and organizations within the Tri-City area, focusing on projects that contribute positively to the environment.

Overview

About TCEC has led the local environmental movement since 1971, when it established a local recycling center and launched the Eco-Logic newsletter. Since then, TCEC, a non-profit, all-volunteer organization, has addressed additional environmental needs of the community with timely projects and donations. Grants The ecology center has two types of Eco-grants: Youth Eco-Grants and Environmental Education/Project Grants (adults). How much money is available? Each year we set aside about $600 for each category. We generally contribute $200 to $300 per application, but this can vary according to the project.
