Overview
Earl K. Nau Scholarship
Overview: An endowment fund in memory of Earl K. Nau has been established at the Ozark Empire Fair to provide an annual scholarship to a junior beef cattle exhibitor at the Fair. The Nau Family provides the funding of the scholarship to honor their late father.
- Age: At least 15 years of age
- Exhibiting Experience: Must have exhibited breeding beef cattle at the Ozark Empire Fair for at least two years
- Geographic Scope: Ozark Empire Fair exhibitors
Eligibility Criteria
- Livestock Competition: - Junior beef classes - Showmanship classes - Open beef classes - Herdsmanship awards - Other 4-H/FFA exhibit classes
- Judging Competition: Points for participation and ranking in district 4-H/FFA livestock judging competition
- Volunteer Service: Points for service at the Fair as a volunteer in either the 4-H or FFA Exhibit Buildings or activities
Scoring Criteria

Participation evaluated from the 2024 Ozark Empire Fair through July 15, 2025 (note: this is historical; current evaluation period would be 2025-2026).Award Use
The scholarship winner will receive $1,500 for tuition, textbooks, or other fees associated with the pursuit of a post-secondary education.Presentation

2. Application must be received (mailed or delivered) in the Fair Office no later than 4:00 p.m., July 15 of the application year
3. If using mail or other delivery service, applicant must send forms in sufficient time so delivery can be made by the noted time
