Award Amount: $1,000

Overview: The Duane Snaza Memorial Scholarship was created by Lake Region Electric Association's Board of Directors to honor a former employee. Duane Snaza worked at LREA for three summers. Duane's parents, Wayne and Jackie Snaza, are member-owners who farm north of Webster.

Eligibility

• Dependent child (including adopted or stepchild) of member-owners of Lake Region Electric Association
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical school

Selection Criteria

• Participation in school and community activities
• Grade-point average
• Work experience
• SAT/ACT scores
• Statement by student explaining educational and career goals
• Written recommendation by a third party
• Presentation of the application
