Beatrice Educational Foundation, a nonprofit corporation, was established in 1987, and one of the first education foundations in the State of Nebraska. The Foundation’s purpose is to provide a permanent source of financial support for the expansion and enrichment of learning opportunities for the Beatrice School District. The Foundation manages a $3.8 million Endowment Fund and awards over $55,000 each year in scholarships to Beatrice High School graduating seniors. Dr. Julie Fletcher Scholarship One $4,000 scholarship ($1,000 payable each year for four years) is available to a woman graduating from Beatrice High School that has excelled throughout her high school career. She needs to show integrity in daily life decisions demonstrating kindness, compassion, and solidarity with others, especially those with racial diversity, disabilities, the LGBTQ community or extreme poverty.Eligibility
