Dr. G. Clifford and Florence B. Decker Foundation Grant - Under $5000

The Dr. G. Clifford and Florence B. Decker Foundation Grant offers financial assistance under $5,000 to charitable organizations focused on education, medical research, and cultural services in Broome County. Applications are accepted anytime, requiring only one copy for smaller amounts. However, grants are not available for individuals or certain expenses like endowments and operating costs. This funding aims to support innovative projects that help organizations achieve self-sufficiency.

The purpose of the Dr. G. Clifford and Florence B. Decker Foundation is to assist bona fide charitable organizations, focusing primarily on educational, medical and medical research institutions, and cultural and human service organizations providing principal service to residents of Broome County. This assistance is in the form of grants that may be used for capital projects or new and innovative projects or programs.
Funding
Applications for amounts under $5,000 are considered at any time and must meet the same guidelines as applications for larger amounts, except for the deadlines. For grants of $5,000 or smaller, only one copy of application is needed.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are charitable organizations, focusing primarily on educational, medical and medical research institutions, and cultural and human service organizations providing principal service to residents of Broome County.Generally, grants are made on a one-year basis, and will be paid on a mutually agreeable schedule.

Ineligibility

The Decker Foundation will not make grants directly to individuals. Further as a general rule, we will not make grants for:

• Endowments
• Religious organizations for religious purposes
• Operating expenses
• Continuing support

Travel and trips The Decker Foundation, in general, does not provide continuing or regular support. Our efforts are directed toward helping organizations provide programs to earn income and thus become more self sufficient.
