Downtown Development Districts (DDD) Rebate Program

Overview:
The DDD Rebate Program, created by legislation in May 2014, provides rebates to stimulate private investment and development in Delaware's downtown districts. The program has distributed $35 million in rebates and attracted $527 million in private investment since inception.

Geographic Scope:
Available in 12 designated downtown districts across Delaware: Clayton, Delaware City, Dover, Georgetown, Harrington, Laurel, Middletown, Milford, New Castle, Seaford, Smyrna, and Wilmington.

• $170 million in private investment leveraged
• 533 new or rehabilitated residential units created
• 20 projects started with $9 million in state funds and $139 million in private investment projected
