Geographic Scope: High school students permanently residing in Howard, Glasscock, Borden, Scurry, Sterling, Mitchell, Martin, & Dawson counties (Texas)

Award Details:

  • Ten (10) recipients will be chosen

  • Best efforts made to choose minimum of five (5) recipients from Howard County and up to five (5) from surrounding counties
    • Eligibility Requirements

    • Current year graduating high school senior
    • Permanent residence in one of the eligible counties (Howard, Glasscock, Borden, Scurry, Sterling, Mitchell, Martin, or Dawson)
    • Minimum GPA of 2.7 (80 average) for the first three and one-half (3.5) years of high school
    • Post-graduation enrollment required: Must enroll in a college, university, or technical school for the fall semester following high school graduation
    • Minimum fall enrollment: 12 credit hours

    • Copy of student's school transcript for the first three and one-half (3.5) years of high school
    • Deadline: March 31st
