Doell Family Scholarship Grant

The Doell Family Scholarship, established by the children of Bill and Mildred Doell, honors their parents' commitment to education and community service in North Central Washington. This scholarship aims to support graduating seniors from Chelan, Douglas, or Okanogan counties who plan to pursue a degree in journalism or music. Preference is given to students demonstrating financial need and academic potential, ensuring that the legacy of the Doell family continues to inspire future generations.

The Community Foundation of NCW is a tax-exempt philanthropic organization that helps individuals, families, businesses, and agencies support charitable causes throughout Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties.
The children of Bill and Mildred Doell (pronounced “Dell”) wanted their parents to be remembered for their high ideals and service to North Central Washington. The Doells both grew up and worked in Wenatchee & Eastern Washington. Mrs. Doell was a teacher and Mr. Doell owned his own business for over 50 years. This scholarship supports graduating seniors from NCW with special emphasis on students who are interested in a career in journalism or music. The committee seeks to award students who demonstrate financial need and a good work ethic both at school and in the community.

Eligibility

Graduating senior of a Chelan, Douglas or Okanogan county high school
Demonstrates financial need
Demonstrates promise shown by grades and potential scholastic ability
